International Dark Skies Astronomy Viewing at James River State Park

The Richmond Astronomical Society and Rappahannock Astronomical Society will offer a “mini star party” with telescopes and a presentation so you can get an up-close view of planets, and galaxies and explain what they are made of and how they got their name. If you have your own binoculars or telescopes, bring them along and learn how to use them properly to get the most out of your dark sky experience.
